HOUSSE Requirements for Experienced Teachers
Dr. Elliott presented for final review the HOUSSE for experienced teachers. One change was
made to the HOUSSE. The 180 professional development point option was expanded to reflect
that points could be earned from eight options of college credit, professional conference,
curriculum development, publication of an article, publication of a book, mentorship/supervision,
educational project and professional development activity within the most recent five-year
period.
The BOE approved the proposed HOUSSE for Virginia.
